The Teachers at Power's Academy range in age from eighteen to sixty, or in certain cases older. Good students are often offered teaching positions once they graduate grade twelve. Teachers generally teach one subject, unless they are a substitute teacher and are qualified to teach more than one subject.
The teachers are allowed to go off of the school grounds to the outside world, but many find it easier to remain in the safety of the gates. Most teachers live in the Teacher's Dorms, a smaller, but still large enough to accommodate the teachers, wood building standing beside the Boy's Dorms. During the evening they take shifts from schedules assigned at the beginning of each month to patrol the student's dorms and make sure that everything is okay. These patrols don't need to last more than ten minutes or so, and happen three times per night by different teachers.
All teachers are powers and all attended Power's Academy at some point in their lives. They each have a special, though not necessarily unique, ability. Part of their job is to make sure that the students are not abusing their powers and to guide the students to control their abilities. The teachers, like students, are free to have relationships. Relationships are not forbidden simply because they work together.
