Welcome to Power's Academy, a website centred around a super powered boarding school, its students, and the residents of the nearby town. We're a growing community with friendly members as well as active staff, and we'd love for you to join us!

DO NOT STEAL
This site is INACTIVE. Well, kind of. It shall be back once the main administrator, Pepper, is done with exams and schooling. Expect our return towards the beginning to middle of July. <3 you all!

MAY SIXTH
[;;] Hey everyone! Pepper and Jade are back from Europe (there has been no word on where Spike is... hoping to get that cleared up soo, so Spike, if ya see this, PM PEPPER ASAP!) but the lull of the site will continue for a short while longer. Pepper has picked up on some illness over the last few days of the Europe trip, and it's hit her hard. She's sleeping a lot, and barely has the energy to do the piles of schoolwork needed to be done, let alone work on the site. Once she's feeling better she'll be back, PMing everyone to return, and things'll be awesome again! <3 Thanks for your patience, everyone!
APRIL FIRST
[;;] The surprise 'strict' activity check is done, and our member count has dropped dramatically. If you return, feel free to register again with your old account's username, quote your bio, and reapply with your character, but be warned that the staff team is cracking down on bios that will be accepted, and your character may not make the cut as they were before. Pepper is going to start a mass advertising spree next week, and that site-wide event that she's been talking about for weeks is coming, I promise. <3 Please remember to log on to your accounts every day, and be patient with the staff team as we fix up the claims and things around the site to reflect our new member count.
MARCH NINETEENTH
[;;] New skin is up! Please inform Pepper if anything doesn't look right or seem to be working right for you. :) No new codes have been added, so I'm not sure why that would be, but you never know.
[;;] Welcome to Spike to the staff team! Spike's our epic new co-admin, and the genius who created out new skin. <3
[;;] The rules have been updated, and the administration has decided that we are going to become more strict on roleplaying posts and characters. Push yourselves to be as literate and well written as possible, guys. Please. <3 It makes it more enjoyable for everyone to roleplay with you and read your threads.
MARCH FIRST
[;;] The activity check was finished today, and accounts that did not post in it or notify us of their absence were deleted, including the accounts of several newer members. Please don't be discouraged by this if you return to find your account gone. <3 All of your bios are saved. You just need to reregister, quote it, repost it, and get RPing. ^^ We just wanted to clean up the site, and weren't sure who intends on returning or not. If you do come back to see your account is gone, don't worry! Peps will take care of your claims herself (if you had an accepted character), and your post counts will be returned. :)
FEBRUARY TWENTY-SEVENTH
[;;] The activity check is being continued until Tuesday! Make sure you post in it. If you have been online recently, I will try to remember when going through and deleting accounts, but if you post in the proper thread I will be sure to not mistakenly delete your account. <3
[;;] There's a good chance that there will be a small site-wide event soon, so keep your eyes open. :) I'll send out a Mass PM if there will be.
[;;] Please note that the statistics on the side table are not accurate at the moment. They will be updated once the activity check has been completed. St. Michael's residents are still encouraged!
FEBRUARY FIFTEENTH
[;;] Of The Months are complete! Congrats to the participants of "Grr. Argh.", Jade/Benjamin, Pepper/Clarissa, and Pepper! ...Wow I feel weird congratulating myself. Thanks for voting, everyone!
[;;] Members who already have one character are now asked to not make another Power's Academy character until they have at least one St. Michael's character, or a Power's Academy Elementary student. New members are free to make whatever they wish.
[;;] Time to start roleplaying again! Look around for open threads made by other characters who have yet to be replied to, and plot away. :)
FEBRUARY EIGHTH
[;;] A reminder for everyone to please, please, please log in to all of your accounts every day. I know we're all active, but when someone has four accounts and only logs on to one of them, it makes a sizable difference in appearance of activity on a board this size. Thanks everyone! <3
[;;] In other news, a 'Wanted Ads' board has been added to the site when you're looking for a special character to complete your plots.
[;;] Of the months will continue until Sunday evening. This is a very long time, but Pepper and Jade unfortunately will be away, or at least very scarce, from Thursday morning to Sunday night, so there is no way for us to end them earlier. Make sure to vote if you haven't already!
so only staff can even see this board. so... only two people right now. yay! Or at least, it's supposed to be... Peps needs to figure out how to completely hide it from normal members.
come here to create plots with other characters through plot pages. they're not mandatory, but some people find them useful. maybe you'll be able to find that special someone for your character.
if you would like a thread tracker to keep all of your character's threads organized so that you don't forget about them, you can make one under this board.
the stalls in bathrooms never remain clean for any length of time. they're a blank canvas for students to write whatever they want: the latest gossip, rumours, anonymous hate messages, anything. just keep in mind that anyone can read what you put and anyone can comment on it (if anonymous post as a guest).
covering much of the power's academy grounds is a lush green forest, filled with wildlife. it's eerie at night, but is a good place to hide from other people. there have always been whispers of it being haunted, but few take that seriously.
the athletics area is located behind the high school. it's absolutely huge, and includes a paved hockey rink/paved basketball court, soccer/football field, and outdoor pool. it's accessible at all hours of the day.
power's academy is surrounded by a brick wall, meant to keep the outside world out as much as it's meant to keep unpredictable powers in. the teachers are the only ones freely allowed to move between power's academy and the nearby town of st. michael's, but that doesn't stop students from sneaking out.
the front yard is the size of a football field and is covered in lush green grass. the sprinklers come on every day at nine pm to keep the field in top condition. this is a favourite place of the student's to spend lunch hours and free time.
the entranceway is basically a large, empty room that joins all of the halls of the school. directly opposite the double doors that lead outside are the doors to the receptionist and miss mays' office.
whenever teachers are not teaching a class they can come to the staff lounge to relax. this is also where staff meetings are held whenever miss mays sees fit.
this spacious theatre is where the school's drama club meets and drama class is taught. the school gathers here for bi-monthly assemblies and pep-rallies. the theatre is left unlocked at all hours of the day, so students are welcome to come whenever they please.
physical education is mandatory for all students, and is taught in this room. inter-murals are played here every day during lunch hour, led by volunteering students.
the library is filled with thousands of books on endless shelves. it is one of the biggest rooms at the academy, although the traffic that goes through here doesn't exactly reflect that.
there are many hallways throughout the school, on both floors. these halls are lined with lockers and classrooms. students are known to loiter here in their free time, or while skipping class.
the playground is a huge, colorful, plastic and metal structure covered with slides and monkey bars and swings and plastic rock climbing walls and... well, you get the picture. everything kids need to have fun at recess. there's also a small field with soccer nets. students can bring balls from their classrooms outside to play.
there are only four main classrooms used, since the grades are split up into four classes. other rooms are empty but can be used for separate group projects if the teachers allow it.
most teachers at power's academy live in these dorms during the night, though some live in st. michael's, too. during the night assigned teachers do regular patrols in the student's dorms to keep them safe.
the girls live in a two story building across the athletics area from the boy's identical building. the high school girls, grades 9-12, live on the second floor. the younger girls live on the first floor.
the boys live in a brick building directly opposite the girl's identical dorms. the high school boys live on the second floor and the elementary boys live on the first floor.
it's about a half hour walk, if you aren't a teacher and able to drive, to st. michael's from power's academy, or vice versa. students could always try to hitchhike if they wanted to.
in the middle of st. michael's sits a huge sport's centre building. it's the largest building in town and houses a pool, hockey rink, indoor soccer field, and running track. it is open from 7am to 11pm every day. on weekends the pool is open until 1am.
in the middle of the town sits a circular park with a trail, trees, benches, a children's playground, and a large hill that overlooks much of the surrounding area.
the very originally named coffee house is the 'hang out spot' in st. michael's. it was renovated from a house into a small two-story shop that sells donuts, coffee, and other baked goods. one room is arranged into a quiet sitting area.
this large, clear lake is a favourite spot for boats and swimmers in the summer. you can just see the other side's shore, from any point, if you stand on the shore. the fog that covers it on spring mornings makes it a beautiful sight. it's located on the outskirts of the town, about a ten minute drive on the highway away in the opposite direction from power's academy.
playing off of the town's name, the residents named its elementary school 'little angels'. it's a small one story building that teaches grades kindergarten to eight.
this brightly coloured playground is where the elementary students from st. michael's can spend their recesses playing and having fun. teenagers sometimes come here to hang out at night.
the high school parking lot isn't huge, but has more than enough room to hold all of the vehicles of teachers and students alike. it's separated into sections for teachers, students, and visitors.
if you have any questions about the site or the plot, suggestions to how power's academy can improve, or comments about it, you've come to the right place! guests are encouraged to give feedback, too.
