It was pretty out. It was warm out. It was a normal day. It was a normal park.
Remy slowed her pace as she wandered around the park, children ran around, jumping from place to place with their little groups of friends and their parents yelled after them to not go too far out of sight. The girl who was clad in pretty much a rainbow bright uniform complete with the rainbow bright leg warmers, drew attention from each child. Each one exclaiming something about her hair. Or her piercings. Or something else random that made the children happy. Slowing down when she came upon a group of children, she joined their games. These children... she played and supervised them a lot for something to do and she enjoyed children. They were small, had imagination and made you smile because they said and did stupid things. Remy joined them in a game of tag. She was the tagger. [/size]

Humans weren't supposed to know about power's. They just weren't. It was said that if they did, a war would erupt. People didn't like the unexplainable and the unknown, which was what Powers were. They didn't like knowing that there were things, or in this case people, out there who were more powerful, like a man who would be able to suddenly appear behind you and snap your neck, or a mere child who could levitate you twenty feet you in the air and send you smashing back down to earth at fatal speeds. Most teachers just drove to St. Michael's. The other teachers, though, couldn't teleport as he could.
Ben couldn't be seen by any regular human when he teleported, so he always went to a grove of trees that he'd found when he was a child. It was well sheltered, nearly impossible to get to through the thorns and bushes that surrounded the tiny, tiny clearing. No one ever came here. It was safe. As soon as he was free of duties for the day Ben disappeared and reappeared in the grove, travelling miles in a millisecond. God he loved being a Power.
Wearing jeans and a tight fitting blue T-shirt, Ben snuck out of the trees to a path that encircled the park. He had visited here often when he was young. This was a calming place for him.
The laughter of children called his attention to their game, tag if he was reading their movements and laughter correctly. His attention was quickly drawn to the 'tagger'. She had a unique look to her, her hairstyle and facial structure... and she was definitely familiar. He smirked, shaking his head slightly in amusement. She was a student at Power's. Interesting, since students were not allowed off campus. She was one of the few students that he recognized, as it was only the beginning of the school year. He waited until the game drew the young girl towards him, and then called out to her, his tone light and playful, not angry and strict. "Remy, aren't you breaking a few rules right now?"

Remy stopped abruptly but that caused her to have a head on collision with a tree. The girl fell backwards onto her back and let her head loll to the side so her eyes looked directly at the man's shoes. Slowly those chocolate chip cookie eyes went up the legs, found his appealing torso and then his face. "Mr.X..." She muttered in a quiet whisper. This man, this teacher, he was the idol of her fantasy. He was the only reason Remy actually attended the class, not that she participated unless they were doing soccer. Mr. X was the man who she mentally undressed as if she was a hormonal teenage boy.
Quickly, Remy got herself up and dusted herself off as a blush appeared lightly on her cheeks. The children pulled on her hands and tried to get her attention but it was no use. Again, Remy was stuck in her fantasy world focused around Mr. X and his yummyliciousness.
"Remzykinz?" A small boy asked as he tugged on her arm but all her did was drag her out of her world and into the real world where she was staring thoughtfully at her PE teacher's face. The small boy sighed and he and the group wandered off. Remy shook her head and let out a laugh.
"I'm not breaking any rules because... I'm not here! You can't see me!" Remy let out a laugh and put her yellow fishnet covered hands over her eyes in hopes to try and 'conceal' herself from his eyes. With a giggle she opened her fingers to peak out.

At Christmas and Summer they were permitted to spend time with their families at home. On other holidays parents could occasionally arrange to come and visit their children at Power's Academy. Other than those occasions, the students at Power's Academy were completely cut off from the outside world. They certainly were not permitted to leave the campus to go to St. Michael's. Their powers were still considered too underdeveloped, too uncontrolled. Not that students really listened. Every teacher at the academy had been a student at PA at some point in their life, and each teacher knew that kids snuck out of the school to the town nearly every day. It was unavoidable really, but there could still sometimes be harsh consequences if the wrong teacher caught a student off of campus. Luckily for Remy, Ben wasn't one of those teachers. He'd actually been one of the students that went off of campus most regularly when he was attending PA. His power had made escaping too tempting, and he didn't deal well with temptation.
He chuckled as she tried to be childish, shaking his head slightly from side to side. "Yes I can, Miss Lorence." He couldn't hide his smirk as he reached forward and lightly flicked her forehead. "Unfortunately your power is not invisibility. That would be a pretty damn cool power, though, wouldn't it?" Even when he should be strict as a teacher, Ben found it impossible. He just couldn't be the type of teacher that got students in trouble.

Remy sighed and lowered her hands, flinching slightly at the flick to her forehead. That wasn't cool, actually, it gave her a weird buzzing feeling in her head for a second, causing her to absently rub her forehead. "Not nice." She whined and stuck out her tongue.
Finally done with rubbing her forehead she laughed. "I'm sure it's be more useful too... I wonder if invisibility makes your clothes transparent or would you have to completely undress to be completely invisible... Hmmm." Remy laughed and shrugged. It was something she always wondered. She always wondered what it would be like to have an original super power from Marvel comic books.

"I know. I'm just a terrible person, aren't I?" He wasn't one of those teachers that shied away from any physical contact with a student. Not that he would ever hit them, but a friendly pat on the back of a joking flick to the forehead never harmed anybody. Of course, there would probably be one day in the future when a student was very sensitive about that sort of thing, and would go running to their parents whining about how Mr. X had hurt them, and then he would be fired and evicted from Power's Academy forever... but he was living life in the moment right now.
He shrugged at her question, even if it wasn't really directed at him. "I've seen plenty of invisibility powers. There were at least five at the school when I attended in my senior year alone. Some disappeared to be floating outfits, but a guy in my class had enough control over his ability to be able to make anything he touched disappear with him. I guess it kind of depends on your control over your ability, in that scenario." He felt too much like a teacher, explaining powers and everything to her. It was his time off. He shouldn't be teaching right now.

Remy nodded, not really listening to his shpeel(not a word) about invisibility. It didn't really matter to her. Her stupid power had to do with dolls and soul moving, hence the reason she had a doll in the backpack she was carrying. To say the least, Remy was paranoid about her body dying so she carried around a doll to transfer her soul to. Remy was one of the few people who could say they could live forever. Well, her soul could. It just meant she'd never have another human body. She'd be like the fucking Bride of Chucky. Which, if you were wondering, was the doll in her backpack at the moment.
"MR.X! WE SHOULD... we should... uhh... I just lost my train of thought." Remy slowly stopped her sentence, smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head. She did have an idea of something they should do but then, because she started staring at him again, she completely forgot.
God... Mr. X is trucking hot. Remy mused and smiled. She couldn't help it. Whoever didn't think Mr. X was hot was either a straight guy or a lesbian. If it wasn't for the fact he was looking at her, she would start drooling. Ah sheetz! I'm staring. BAD REMY! BAD! Remy mentally scolded herself and looked passed him. To hopefully make her staring a little less noticeable. Little change was better then a huge change. Right?

Ben waited patiently for her to finish her sentence, but apparently she was unable to. He was amused, but had to wonder how short of an attention span this girl had. If it was as short as it appeared to be right now, how did she manage in classes like math where concentration and memory were key to getting good grades? He supposed it was none of his business. He was a gym teacher, nothing more, and gym didn't really require any amount of concentration unless you were trying to hit a ball as it flew through the air towards you, or something. Other than those moment gym was all about running around and having a good time. Any student could excel in his class as long as they made a genuine attempt to do well.
"Well, if I were a stricter teacher, I'd say you should head back to the school immediately," he commented with a smile. "But everyone at the school knows what a pushover I am, so I won't." The day that Ben became one of those teachers that ordered students around without a thought and punished them for any little crack in the rules was the day that pigs flew. Remy was just getting a bit of freedom. That wasn't anything wrong, in Ben's eyes.
"So, how often do you sneak out off campus to come and..." he paused, looking at the children running around, "play tag? I would have thought you'd be at the mall like most other students. Shopping."

Gawd... he is hot. He is hot. hot. hot. hot. The chant was all the girl could actually hear. Normally she wasn't this bad. Even if she did mentally undress him during PE she never chanted before and never made it so painfully obvious that she had a obsessive crush on him. At this moment all she was, was at the mercy of her perverted thoughts and controlled impulse to kiss him. STOP! I'm not a creepy fangirl. Gah. Stop it! Remy mentally scolded herself and sighed heavily.
"I don't like shopping. And I sneak out pretty much every day after school. And I'm not always playing tag. Sometimes I play soccer. I like soccer much more than children." Remy was being serious about that too. If it was between playing a good game of soccer and saving a random kids life, sadly she'd choose soccer. Sometimes Remy wondered if she was as cold hearted as her father.
dad... Another sigh escaped her lips. But this time it wasn't like the first one. Shaking her head and rocked back onto her heels and smirked, letting her eyes fall upon Ben again. This time he wasn't sexy, or even really appealing. Ben was just another person to her. One she for some reason obsessed about. He was her teacher. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Nodding to herself Remy turned away. "Mr. X.... Eh... Nevermind. I'll see you later." Remy wandered off, leaving her rainbow bright book bag propped up against the tree she had ran into earlier. Blond hairs stuck up out of the part of the zipper that wasn't zipped completely.
Remy let herself leave him behind. Leave it to a thought about her dad to make her fantasies disappear. She climbed down the steep incline that lead the the edge of the river that flowed through the park. Leaning back with her hands behind her head, Remy smiled and wandered back into her fantasies.
"He definitely is... pretty sexy."

He instantly liked any student who liked anything to do with gym and athletics, because they were his life. He was a self-proclaimed jock. Anything to do with sports he adored, whether it was training, working out, or actually playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, etc. Even dodgeball was something he completely adored. So he had a soft spot for students that shared even one of his passions.
She had an interesting way of speaking, he was noticing. Short, cut off sentences. Not that he really minded, it was just interesting. He wondered if she spoke like this all of the time, or if she just had a short attention span today, and therefore couldn't find the concentration to say more than a few short words in a sentence at a time.
Okay... that was weird. He watched her run off barely a moment after saying that she had to go. He looked around at the various children playing their carefree games, and noticed a rainbow backpack leaning up against a tree a short distance away. It was familiar; he was sure he'd seen it with Remy at the school, and she shouldn't leave it behind where someone could steal it, even if she was going to be right back. The world wasn't honest enough to leave your things unattended. He quickly jogged over to the backpack and picked it up, swinging it over his shoulder for easy transport. Yeah. He looked a bit odd, a twenty year old man carrying a rainbow backpack. He didn't mind.
When he looked back in the direction that Remy had gone she was already a far ways away. Normally he would just teleport himself in front of her, save time, but the park was too crowded with Normals, and he couldn't risk it. So instead he ran after her to return it. He was a fast runner; two decades of athletics had done that to him. As he ran closer he caught the last sentence of what she'd said and slowed his pace. Ah... okay. She must have been talking about some random kid who attended St. Power's.
"Uh... Remy? You left your backpack."

"Hmmm... Yes? Do I know you? Nope... I don't think so. So mr. creeper... drop my bag. Or I'll kill you." Remy didn't care to open her eyes and figure out who the voice belonged to. Actually... it sound like that person who she had just left, staring at her missing figure. Okay... So maybe he wasn't staring but a girl could dream. Remy was as vapid and shallow as any other teenage girl out there. "Are you going to put the bag down? Can't you see I'm trying to get in touch with my shallow teenage values?"
Finally she cracked her eyes opened and almost pissed herself. There was her favorite teacher holding her fucking backpack. Of course. You fucking whore! You forgot you bag! How can you face him if he... you know. HEARD WHAT YOU SAID ALOUD! Remy flinched slightly to the banshee in her head. She sighed, took a deep breathe and looked up at him.
"Uh... Hey... hi... Umm... Yeah. I forgots it... Ehehe..." Remy really didn't know how to reply. Actually, she was biting her thumb nail which was a sure sign that most people learned quickly that meant she was nervous as hell.

The teacher had a genius IQ, though he didn't always show it. He was smart, had a good memory, and picked up on things in the blink of an eye. But people... especially people like Remy... they just confused the hell out of him and made him feel incredibly awkward. Her manner of speaking, the way she didn't look at him when she spoke to him... it just all seemed off to him. Perhaps if he were in a worse mood or was just more of a crabby guy he'd snap at her for being so rude, it would certainly be well within his rights to do so, but he just stood there, waiting for her to turn around and see who it was that she was speaking so harshly to.
The fact that she didn't apologize, even when she realized that she had just called her teacher a creeper, was another odd aspect to Ben. He'd at least been expecting an apology, but none came, so he just handed forward her backpack, shaking his head slightly in disbelief. "Are you always that rude to people who just want to help out?"

"hhhh.... I. I'm sorry?Ah..." Remy just stared side eyed for a moment before taking to bag and laughing quietly... "Sorry again... I do talk to strangers like that.... Eheh." She continued to bite her thumb, anticipating him yelling at her or slapping her. Yes slapping her because she was a bad person and deserved to be punished. God...
She looked down and braced herself. Remy wasn't completely sure why she was waiting for him to hit her. Maybe it was just the fact she felt totally stupid and was acting like a shallow teenager who cared only about herself and no one else. She was stupid! She was also pig headed and ignorant. The first words out of her mouth should have been a fucking apology but of course they just got her pretty much scolded in a weird Mr. X way.
"What I said. It was Completely uncalled for. I am sorry." That was the best the girl could really give. Apologies weren't her thing and neither were crushes on hot PE teachers. Life was confusing but she refused to be confused. She would make sense of everything. Once she get back to her dorm and was able to sleep for 3 days straight. Remy was in the mood to crawl in a hole and die.

"Well, that's a habit you might want to break yourself out of. You're not going to get anywhere in life if you can't at least be civil to the people around you. Strangers or otherwise." Power's Academy was so cut off from the rest of the world that sometimes kids were completely blindsided when they left the school and went out to the real world, where things were actually quite different. Ben was suspecting that Remy might have to be one of those who discovered the difference between the safe haven of a school and the rest of the world the hard way.
"It's all right," he assured her. "Just... work on your manners a bit. For your own sake."

She had the urge to roll her eyes and snicker. No matter what her thoughts on him were, the moment she was told to pretty much be good, she could care less. what was with people and their wanting others to be good? Was he one of the people who didn't understand that she just didn't care? A stranger was a stranger and Remy normally made sure strangers stayed strangers. Sometimes she wondered if she had a personality disorder. At one point she'd be sweet, shy and bubbly and another she just wanted everyone to die. She confused herself.
"Yeah... I understand." Remy nodded and stood up, forgetting she was on the incline so her balance was thrown off. Her eyes widened for a moment and she reached her arm out but it was too late. She had herself stumbling down the incline, her arm throw up in the air and her backpack being thrown into the river below.
Finally the tumbling stopped and Remy opened her eyes right at the moment her bag splashed into the water. "Shit balls!" She cursed and sat up, happy she didn't end up in the river. But now her doll was in the river and if that doll got destroyed... she was so fucked. Yes Remy had plenty of dolls but that certain one was one of the few her soul had made a bond with and when the doll was destroyed she normally ended up really sick. "Fucking cock sucker." She scream, forgetting Mr. X was within ear shot.
