RAISE IT BACK TO THE TOP, NOW WE'RE NEVER COMING DOWN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " One two, one two three four, one two three!"Kins counted aloud. Well, counted was a loose term- obviously his numbers were wrong. But if one asked, he would calmly explain that if he moved over a row, the numbers started over. So he moved two desks up one row, decided to switch to the next, moved up another two, then hoped on one foot (alternating feet every step) across the last four. Now, this may have been a very compromising position had it been seven hours later or earlier, but this hopscotch game was being played at eleven at night in a fairly deserted part of the school. So. Hopscotch on. No need to venture to the unlighted elementary school playground. He'd even rearranged the desks (which explained why he needed to move to other rows) so that they were in two crisscrossing straight lines, stretching across the longest part of the room. Kinkade had a lot of spare time on his hands, and he planned to have several more hours. Sleeping was out of the question (as it usually was) and tonight, he'd decided hopscotch would entertain the masses. Too bad the masses were sleeping. Not to worry- their loss. Atop the first desk in the room lay a plan detailing the desks layout. No one could say the teenager didn't plan things out. He was comfortable, too. Kinkade was wearing what he'd planned to go to sleep in. Light blue flannel pajamas with white snowflakes and a sleeveless white shirt seemed reasonable. Socks on his feet kept him warm, since the abandoned room was a bit chilly (whether it was being alone or just the empty darkness that made it cold, he didn't know) A sudden crash could be heard as one of the desks fell sideways and clattered to the floor. Kins found himself safely on the next desk, but he froze at the sound, his breath caught. Then, realizing being atop the desk was suicidal and remembering he could move, the teen dropped down to a crouch to watch the doorway, hoping he was more invisible in the darkened room than he felt. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Sleeepy panda! Kianna had been having a hard time sleeping. She had discovered that touching a surface was to give you a headache, so painful you can't sleep. She didn't voluntarily touch the surface, she had fallen over. Which is why she found herself wondering the corridors, that seemed to wind a bit like a labyrinth.
Wearing shorts at this time of night would of been called suicidal, especially at this time in the year, where it was blissfully cold. She enjoyed the cold which is why you could find her sleeping with shorts on in the winter. Silly but pleasing. She had found herself wondering down a corridor that she had found familiar, had she walked in a circle already?
A crash sounded in the air, now, that would have been normal in Power's Academy, if it wasn't 11 o'clock. Everyone should of been in bed, tucked up. The St. Michaels folk would see this as the calmest time of the day at Power's Academy. Where all the monsters are asleep. But of course the two that were awake seemed to be making a racket.
She tried not to run towards the noise, in fact her legs wanted to take her away from it, but her brain had forced her to walk towards it. She found herself entering a classroom, that at first look, seemed like an ordinary classroom. The tables were laid out, not in there usual pattern, but none the less. The chalkboard, that never got used sat abandoned at the front of the class. After looking around for a minute or so, her eyes landed on the back of a boy, who seemed to have just jumped off of something.
" Ahem... Isn't it past bedtime. " Kianna was usually nice to people she didn't know, in fact this wasn't much of insult it was her, making conversation with a stranger. She didn't quite see the problem with this. She gave the class room another sweep with her jaded eyes and located the source of the crashing noise. A table had toppled over.

RAISE IT BACK TO THE TOP, NOW WE'RE NEVER COMING DOWN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The silence that proceeded the crash made Kinkade nervous. He listened carefully for any sounds, any approach. After a moment, though, he was assured nothing would come, so he let himself calm down, dropping his head and grinning. That was a close one. And then... running? His head lifted back up and he crouched lower, his eyes watching the doorway closely. When Kianna appeared there, he stopped breathing, afraid she'd hear it. She saw him before he felt he was going to suffocate, much to his relief. As she addressed him, he inhaled sharply to replenish himself of the oxygen as quickly as humanly possible. " Uhm, I suppose it is."Kins offered a devilish grin, getting off the desk. " Best time for hopscotch is when there's no one around to tell you no." Kins gestured toward the desks as explanation. Not that he really cared if they told him no; if he wanted to do it badly enough, he would have done it anyway. As it stood, it amused him to consider just how surprised the unlucky teacher who had this room would be. Like a bonus to an already good deal, he just hoped he wasn't sleeping then. " My parents neglected to enforce bedtime when I was young."Kinkade added. " What about you? What's your story? Why are you up so late?" While he waited for a response, he righted the fallen desk, then sat atop it, his manner casual as his gaze went back to the girl in the room. Honestly, he was just glad she wasn't part of the school's staff here to complain about him. She seemed harmless enough to him. " I'm not going to sleep any time soon, so feel free to sit here with me- unless you have something better to do."Kinkade added," I'm Kinkade, by the way." Kinkade didn't mean much by the offer- it was just weird having her standing there while he sat. If she refused the offer, he'd have no choice but to stand up, too, to get rid of the weirdness of the situation. Incapable of sitting still as Kinkade was, he'd set about kicking his feet slightly, absently. He ran his fingers through his own hair, ruffling it up- any movement to keep him from thinking about how sleepy he was getting. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Happy ~ TAGGED: Kianna WORDS: Five hundred and thirty-six counting the template and coding LYRICS: Jump Rope by Blue October NOTES: Nada CREDITS: Thanks to BUNNYA! at Caution 2.0

" Isn't hopscotch childs play? " She was only trying to break the riverted tension. She was actually laughing at the situation she was in. She hadn't really planned on meeting someone out of bed. Infact she didn't want to be seen. She wanted peace, and solitude in the dark misty corridors.
Her parents hadn't really enforced bedtime, but she enjoyed her sleep and always went to bed willingly. " No. My parents neither, headaches keeping me awake. " To be honest, Kianna was rather happy that he wasn't a teacher who had lost the will to live and had tried to do something stupid. Wouldn't that be kind of awkward. " Well. I'm Kianna "
She sort of strolled into the room, her bare feet padding against the floor. She shivered due to the breeze that blew in through the cracks in the foundation of the large building. Shorts was a stupid idea, but she preffered to be stupid then too warm. She jumped onto the table beside Kinkade, and held out her hand. It was bare but she would risk another headache.

WITH ONLY SIMPLE WORDS... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " No. Child's Play is a creepy movie I watched when I was young."Kins shrugged," This is fun. It takes a certain level of physical ability- ... I mean, I hung out with the jump roping, hopscotching crowd in elementary school." " Headaches,"Kinkade echoed, now feeling slightly sympathetic. Maybe he should have been quieter." You know, I'm sure the teacher's got a stash of Aspirin in his closet or his desk or something, if that'll help." It didn't seem to occur to him that it was very probable that she already took something for the headache, or even that she didn't want to. He hadn't meant to imply she couldn't look out for herself, either. He just felt he had to offer his help if something was ailing her, and there were only so many ways in which that was possible. Stealing drugs from teachers was one of them. In hindsight, maybe not the best. " It's nice to meet you, Kianna."Kinkade smiled to himself. He'd remember that, especially since he was meeting her now, opposed to during the day. When Kianna held out her hand, Kinkade hesitated. This was never a good idea in a school like this. So many unique powers around him, and so many done through touch... But, in the end, Kinkade knew he wasn't going to refuse. He smiled again, and took her offered hand. It was easier to trust a person, wasn't it? And physical contact was never something to shy away from. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: N/A TAGGED: Kianna WORDS: N/A LYRICS: Jump Rope by Blue October NOTES: I dunno how her power works exactly, so I'll leave that up to you. ^_^ CREDITS: Thanks to BUNNYA! at Caution 2.0

" I loved that film. " Kianna had a six sense of humor, she was rather demented in the head, she always loved horror film. She could help but keep in a chuckle, or maybe a giggle. " I was the girl who stole the rope and tried strangling kids with it. " She couldn't help but giggle at the way she seemed like a sadistic whore, even when she was young.
She slipped from the chair, ducking behind the teachers desk looking in for a stash of drugs that would push the pain from her head. In a short minute or two she stood before popping two white pills into her mouth and gulping. Shaking her head she pulled a funny face, she had always hated the taste of painkillers. She chuckled as she slowly sunk down back onto the table she had perche herself on five minutes before.
As the boy took her hand, she ended up squeezing tight. She had not expected him to do so, since it was stupid to do so in the school. Mental note for Kianna; if you don't know them, never offer your hand. She had be sent into the past of a girl, she didn't recognise the girl. Nor did she want to. She could only see a girl, sitting alone, on a brick step.
After a few seconds of staring at the girl, she released his hands, as she found herself sitting on the table once more. The searing hot pain, that was only mild a second ago brushed against her skin and burned inside her skull. " Interesting. " It was the only word she could manage. Though she wouldn't show her pain, not just yet.

"It was a very interesting movie, "Kinkade agreed before smiling at the explanation that she was the one tormenting kids on the playground." I was tempted to do that a few times, but I always played nice. I'm kinda boring that way." Kinkade really wasn't one to harrass his classmates. If they were to mess with him, he would fight back, but usually it wasn't something so... malicious. Getting in a fight was a little different than choking someone with a jump rope. When she moved to search the desk, Kinkade smiled to himself. He'd half expected that she'd be upset at his suggestion. Indignant, even. But she seemed just as willing to do it herself. " Hopefully that helps."Kins offered. He officially liked her a bit more, just for that. He had considered going to help her but he opted to stay put. She could handle it, right? She had returned to the desk, so there was no need to worry. He smiled, again, to seem friendly. As she took his hand and squeezed, he watched her with curiousity. It probably would have been less awkward in his own mind if he'd said something, but he couldn't seem to think of a single thing worth saying. So many words at his disposal, and he couldn't think of anything at all. Briefly, he wondered if it was some strange power. Selective amnesia? Agnosia? It wasn't terribly probable, but maybe. Finally, she released his hand and spoke. Even though it was odd to him, it seemed to remind him that he did have a voice and a great grasp of the language. " So- uhm... I'm a junior. What grade are you in?"Kinkade asked curiously, oblivious to the pain she wasn't verbalizing." Been at the school long?" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: N/A TAGGED: Kianna WORDS: N/A LYRICS: Jump Rope by Blue October NOTES: Okayy <3 Sorry for the delay. Could that movie be classed as interesting? Playing nice was exactly that; Boring, and she had always been the one looking for adventure, it was why she had been caught trying to escape from Powers in the middle of the night only to be hauled back to the confines of her bedroom. She hated it, she wished she could move or atleast swap rooms.
She hadn't really forgotten her gloves but she had not expected to get encounter where she would have to touch another being. " I'm a sophmore." The painkillers were starting to work even on the burning rushing pain that she had just experienced. She hadn't even seen a vision, but she had felt one come to her. Was she seeing the present, in the present? Well that had never happened before. " I started as a freshman. Didn't expect to be accepted till the Principal told me why they had. "
