INFO ♔ Up until the year he turned twelve, Lucas Meadows had it all. A rich family, the position as his father's favorite child, and a bright future ahead of him. He might not have been the nicest kid around; in fact having been raised in the firm belief that poverty was a problem of laziness much more than anything else, and that the only thing which really mattered in life was coming in first, he could be down right horrid at times. But at least he was happy. Up until the day he started levitating furniture around the house that is. Looking down upon people who fell outside of society's normal frames was fine right up until the moment he ended up in the same category himself. Regardless of how badly he took the change personally, however, his family took it much worse. He was shipped off to Power's Academy just a few months later, with the clear message not to return home until he had his condition under control. Now a Junior, Lucas is working on just that and although he might have become a little more mature these days than his younger self, he doesn't show it that often.

Do you have any plot bunnies involving him? Then please tell me in this thread!

ENEMIES ♔ To most people Lucas comes off as being a wholly arrogant and self-centered person. He's that guy with the irritating smirk you just want to wipe away, and pretty much acts as if he owns the whole school. Although he's at the Academy for the same reason as everyone else, he will often treat everyone else as freaks. To say that he would have some enemies wandering around would therefore be an understatement. At times he might also come off as a bit of a bully due to his tendency to use sarcasm and irony constantly.

FRIENDS ♔ Most likely Lucas will have far fewer friends than he will have enemies. Even so, there might just be one or two people out there who can put up with him. Because when you get right down to it he isn't really evil. He has been trying to act a little nicer lately (though with mixed results), and most of his prejudges could just as easily be targeted against himself as anyone else at the school. So, perhaps there's someone out there who can see through his snarky attitude? The other option is of course that he might hang out with someone similar to how he acts; arrogant, self-assured and confident.

LOVERS ♔ Lucas' relationships have never been particularly long-lived. He's flirtatious by nature and likes to have fun. "Commitment" is not really a word in his dictionary, however. Anyone who wants to steal Lucas' heart better watch out. They might just be left heartbroken themselves.

Hm... I have an idea, and it's a little strange, so don't be afraid to shoot it down.

So these two have already met, and didn't exactly hit it off. *pokes forest* But since they're roommates, I was thinking maybe they could talk it out.

If Nathan got to know Lucas, Nathan would probably be a little afraid of how intense he is. He prefers things like writing and music and video games, and generally keeps to himself, so somebody like Lucas, who's kind of a bully and pretty fierce, would terrify him.

HOWEVER... Nathan would also be drawn to him. He has a similar philosophy, that your first chance should be your only chance, and he would also be kind of attracted by all of the stuff that scared him. Impulsive, fierce, hotblooded: it's almost the exact opposite of him (except Nathan can be pretty quick to anger).

Lucas is straight. My little Nathan is bi, and has never been with anyone before. So maybe Nathan develops a little crush on Lucas? An attractive older guy who's really intense... and just doesn't happen to like the same gender.

Thoughts? And yeah, like I said, it's out there. Be honest with me about it. xD

I absolutely love your idea Nathan! ;D

Seeing as these two shares a room they will have to find some way to coexist, so that part makes absolute sense to me. And the fact of the matter is that Lucas wouldn't really think too much about the incident in the forest (I'll reply in a whiff, I promise) simply because he's used to being treated/treating other people in the way that he did. Not pushing people's boundaries doesn't even register as an option after a childhood of being pinned against his brother and trying to get his father's approval. To put it this way; arrogance is is default way of acting.

Could we tweak the idea a little bit though? Just to make it even more dramatic . How about we play out the incident when Nathan moves in (just noticed that there is another kid moving in as well so perhaps that won't work)? We could say that Lucas used to have a single room, but because of new students and such, that is no longer an option. I can sure see him throwing a tantrum over that, the spoiled brat.

In the end they could come to terms with the situation.
Lucas isn't really antisocial, so he probably wouldn't think of it as the end of the world if he just gets a chance to think it over. He could probably benefit from a "friend" or two.

And I love the idea of a small crush/attraction. If Lucas realizes, especially after the two of them begins to get along, it would really push his boundaries. He might be an ass about it though.

So yeah, if you've managed to get through my ramblings - I'm interested!

Hm... sure. Kai and I already did a thread in the dorm, but I mentioned that Nathan had just got there and hadn't met his third roommate yet, so you don't mind that he's been there for a couple days, it could work. Maybe they've seen each other, but one wakes up after the other is gone, and one comes back for the night after the other is asleep? They don't know each other, so they try not to wake each other up...?

If that's too far-fetched for you, we could always just have ours set before the one with Nathan and Kaiser. I'm fine with whatever. <3

It´s not really that important when we place it I suppose. Either they could have registered that they were roommates already, but not really talked, or we could place a thread before Nathan and Kaisers. Now that I come to think about it, I´m really fine either way

The important thing is that I love the idea for Lucas and Nathan, and I think this dorm room is going to be really fun!

And yeah, I read the dorm thread between Kaiser and Nathan, so I figured it wasn´t going to be all fluffy bunnies and sleep over parties

Real life issues have kept me quite busy lately, my girlfriend has just had an operation, so I have been helping her out at home a lot. Things should be easier on me by next week though, so my activity will sky rocket then!
